Class: Unmasking The Jewish Soul

Rabbi Mordechai Gafni writes that your soul print is the singular, unique identity that is yours alone. It is the sum total of your authentic self. Much of our lives, however, are spent behind a mask. We take on roles that are not who we really are and we forget what we came to this world to accomplish. Our gifts and talents become squelched. Rabbi Gafni and author Gary Zukav say that when we become unable to remove our mask, we are essentially participating in idol worship. This class uses Torah text study and Rabbinic writings to explore this concept. From the Garden of Eden story, to the tale of Em Sisera, we delve into ways in which we can uncover our mask and discover our true selves.
