Class: The Nefesh of Naming (Can be extended for workshops or retreats)

What purpose does naming play in the course of our lives and in our ability to give our gifts to the world. In Judaism, naming has significance from the beginning of creation, to the end of physical life and beyond. In this class, we examine naming in Jewish life and we contemplate the power of our own names. We end with a meditation on our own name.
