Class: Creativity and Symbolism

We begin this class with a closer look at a quote from Rabbi Mordechai Kaplan... "Creativity is the most divine phase of reality." We discuss the implications of this quote and we learn what part creativity plays in unmasking our soul. We then learn techniques for increasing our creative potential. Through an experiential meditation on six stations of Jewish objects, we begin to understand the benefits of looking at the events in our lives from a symbolic perspective. Discussion follows, along with the introduction of other ways to look at life events from a higher or more mystical perspective (automatic writing, torah tarot, dreams, etc.).
